GREATER DES MOINES, Iowa, Oct. 25, 2023 /PRNewswire/ — The Iowa Caucus Consortium will return for the 2024 election to showcase the Greater Des Moines region by providing the media, candidates and visitors an accommodating and beneficial experience. The Iowa Caucus Consortium, which began in 2008, is an initiative of Catch Des Moines and the Greater Des Moines Partnership in close collaboration with the Iowa Democratic Party and the Republican Party of Iowa.
“Every four years, the national spotlight shines brightly on Iowa and this is our chance to host the thousands of media members, visitors and candidate staff members who come to Greater Des Moines,” said Greg Edwards, President and CEO of Catch Des Moines. “The Consortium has become a valuable resource for the media and candidates by connecting them with the people, places and issues.”
One of the primary benefits of the Consortium is the establishment of a Media Center, where visiting and local members of the media can set up workspaces for covering the Iowa Caucuses schedule for Monday, Jan. 15, 2024. The center will be hosted at the Iowa Events Center and will be open from Thursday, Jan. 11 – Tuesday, Jan. 16.
Media members interested in applying for space in the Media Center can apply here.
“It is an honor for our state and the DSM region to host the Iowa Caucuses,” said Tiffany Tauscheck, President & CEO of the Greater Des Moines Partnership. “Through the Iowa Caucus Consortium and the Media Center, we are able to showcase our region to the nation and world as one of the fastest-growing places in the country and the best place to live and work.”
