Simple Recycle Company Limited Recognized for Building a Digitally Enabled Circular Ecosystem in Thailand

SINGAPORE, Aug. 27, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Simple Recycle Company Limited has been recognized under the Circular Economy Leadership category at the Asia Responsible Enterprise Awards (AREA) 2026, organized by Enterprise Asia, for its innovative initiative, "The Yasothon Model: A Digitally Enabled Circular Ecosystem for a Zero Waste Future".

For more than two decades, Simple Recycle has worked toward its vision of creating a clean society in Yasothon, one of Thailand's poorest provinces. Through the Yasothon Model, the company has united local government, businesses, and schools in a collaborative effort to transform waste into economic, environmental, and social value.

At the heart of the initiative is "POP", a free digital recycling management platform developed by Simple Recycle and provided to partners at no cost. The platform supports community waste banks, recycling operations, and waste collection activities while making it easier for organizations to track and manage their environmental impact.

The company has partnered with Yasothon Municipality to strengthen community waste management, with Sabina Public Company Limited to establish a workplace waste bank, and with schools across the province to promote recycling education through a milk-carton recovery program. These efforts are supported by hands-on training and community engagement activities that encourage waste separation and sustainable habits from an early age.

The impact of the Yasothon Model has been significant. In 2025 alone, the initiative diverted 2,729 tonnes of waste from landfills and prevented 7,005 tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions. More than 1,000 people across seven districts participated in training programs, while school recycling efforts increased milk-carton recovery by sixteen times over two years.

In the years ahead, Simple Recycle plans to expand the model across Thailand by extending community waste banks, enhancing the "POP" platform, and bringing its school recycling program to new provinces. Through continued collaboration and innovation, the company remains committed to proving that a cleaner, more sustainable society can be built anywhere.
