The objects of AAP, as defined by its constitution, are to advance social and public welfare, to advance education and promote mutual respect and tolerance between Australians for the benefit of the general public in Australia by:
AAP is committed to maintaining the highest standards of accuracy, impartiality and fairness.
AAP is bound by our own Code of Practice, and the Standards of Practice drafted by the Australian Press Council.
