AAP's factual, objective journalism relies on a range of supporters, all of whom respect AAP's Charter of Editorial Independence. We are grateful to work with the following organisations:
AAP’s specialist reporting desks allow our teams to go beyond breaking news, delivering dedicated, in-depth coverage of topics crucial to Australia’s national agenda.
Google has been a long-standing supporter of AAP FactCheck and in 2024 contributed critical capacity-building funding to enable AAP FactCheck to reach more people, including through content translations and by expanding into video. Google also supported two Indigenous cadetships in 2023/24, as well as a program delivering free digital skills training to hundreds of Australian journalists.
Led by John B. Fairfax, the Jibb Foundation is committed to funding two cadetships each year from 2022/23 through until 2025/26.
AAP FactCheck is grateful for the Susan McKinnon Foundation's financial support for increased capacity in the team, especially as it has helped our expansion into content translations and video services.
As a recipient of a grant under the Regional Media Fund, AAP provides fully-subsidised content to select regional NSW media outlets.
AAP's fact-checking and media literacy work is partially funded by an Australian Government Social Cohesion Measures Grant. The grants support an integrated and cohesive multicultural Australia. This funding has significantly increased AAP FactCheck’s capacity, supporting expansion into content translations and video services.
