Supporting AAP

AAP is a not-for-profit charity with deductible gift receipts (DGR) status, meaning every dollar we raise goes directly to the production of public interest journalism. Our charitable objectives ensure we strive to advance social and public welfare, to advance education and to promote mutual respect and tolerance between Australians through the distribution of high quality, accurate, fact-based news and information.

AAP’s factual, objective journalism cannot continue without supporters from all walks of life. If you value independent media and in particular, want to ensure Australians in rural and regional areas get access to news and information that affects them, please consider a one-off or annual donation to support our work.

Fund a specialist desk

You may like to consider supporting our suite of specialist reporters, who go beyond the reactive news cycle to produce in-depth coverage of national issues. AAP's specialist desks are generally supported by philanthropic foundations, who commit to funding the work for a minimum of three years individually or with other donors. If you wish to support a specialist reporting capability, please contact AAP CEO Lisa Davies ceo@aap.com.au

Support AAP FactCheck

AAP also plays a critical role in the fight against misinformation, the scourge of which affects us all and poses a serious threat to our democracy. AAP’s fact-checking unit, AAP FactCheck, is on the front line of the battle to protect the information environment. Your support can fund more fact-checking in Australia and the Pacific.
